Great Shot, not sure why anyone thought it was done in a studio..... it's obviously on location, and the subject matter is the only thing of import here. I love that you did that with your pup (sry about reason though) I agree with other posters here, I like/love my dogs more than 99% of the people out there.
Good one. I have to confess, I wondered about the lighting too. Love the story behind it. I think if the other 'critics' were really going after you we would have had 27 posts discussing your lack of ATGATT.
Not terribly far from you. This one is ripe for the picking. Just saying... http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=858650
True, I considered that before posting. That is why we took the photo in this location, mainly bicycle traffic. I was able to move along at about 20 mph with no traffic. My gear was sitting on the side of the road next to my buddy's car. Wearing our helmets and jackets would have made it less of a family picture. Nick is wearing his Doggles though. Juan
Wasn't trying to be a critic (original post said I liked it) but I was just curious about the lighting, I couldn't figure out if it was a really cool studio shot or not. Sorry about the confusion and sorry about your pup. I've got a Siberian that I feel the same way about.
For what is worth, I'm glad you told the story. Its a nice keepsake photo, and a good back story. glad you posted it.
So, it is apparent you have a really attractive wife, but what I would like to know is if you are South African? From Joburg perhaps judging from your license plates?
If you quote the pic you are commenting about people will know what the hell you are talking about. The last few photos posted don't show license plates.
2007 R1200GS parked in my expensive Manhattan garage. 19__ (sorry cant disclose her model year) more expensive Manhattan woman.
Damn you have a place for a car AND three bikes in Manhattan?! That must be pretty rare to have there, expensive or not! I don't think I could do without a garage.
Cumberland Gap, TN. Don't have the bike anymore but still have the girlfriend. Everyone on this thread (including myself) is lucky to have a significant other that enjoys 2 wheels, whether on their own or sitting on the back. I like my girlfriend sitting behind me where I can keep her safe. (aaaand so I can go the whole day with her legs wrapped around me)
Ha, I wish! I pay monthly to rent two motorcycle spots. The garage is a one block walk from my apartment. I don't have, or need, a car. I guess I really don't need two bikes either though... Hey, life is short, enjoy it. You can't see my second bike in the picture but it's three spots behind the GS. Lawrence
I guess one block isn't bad in the scheme of things. At least you picked the right choice of vehicle! You do get to live in the city (if that's the sort of thing you like) Iv'e always said if I had to give up all but one vehicle I would be left with a bike but Iv'e never actually had to make that decision before. I'm out in the country where space is cheap.
