Thanks everyone for keeping the questions/answers going while I'm working out of town. Devro is right, I cannot post routes/tracks until we get closer to the actual date. Rain can make a big difference. I will get them up in time for everyone to digest them properly. Also, show up Thursday evening for camping and file sharing...
Sorry everyone about not posting and updating as much as i should this year. I have been extremely busy at work lately. In the last 128 days I have orchestrated the relocation of 34 tigers! Yes, Tigers. Check out www.facebook.com/turpentinecreek for an update. Tomorrow we are finishing a monumental achievement, a task never before done without flaw. Sorry, I am proud of the team my wife and I have assembled over the last 20 years. This is why I do what I do....to save animals, which saves people. See you soon!
I saw the relocation story on the local news, good stuff. I hope to get up there sometime to visit. I just got off you tube and was watching videos of past 500 events. Man I got to do this thing. Sure looks like a good time.
All signed & counting the days! Great idea on camping @ TCWR Saturday night, you simplified my life a bunch, oh & cool new website there Scotty!
Your facebook link didn't work for me. Now I'm gonna have to sign up for sure just to figure out what exactly it is you with those tigers!
I posted the current rider list on the first page. If your name should be there and it is not, let me know and I'll take care of it. Thanks,
Scotty, I am looking at getting out of town for an overnight trip March 30 and 31st . No set plans yet but the wife and kids will not be here so what better to do than camp ride!!! I will be getting off work in Fayetteville around noon Saturday and off till Monday morning. It is hard to be a small business owner working 6 days a week and enjoy adventure riding Most of the rides I get are at night when all the kids are asleep :huh Yea... I see lots of deer :eek1 Wondering if you are scouting any of the routes for the ARED500? I would be glad to help with the adventure anyway I can! Let me know....
I am in scouting mode now. I will let you know when I ride next. I hit a logging chain strung between big oaks Saturday. I was going about thirty-fourty mph. I am pretty sore today. This is a testament to good riding gear. Im sore but not broke! My bike needs some attention this week.
See first page for rider list. If there is no city/state listed by your name I have not received payment for you. If there is an error, PM me ASAP. the ride is less than a month away!
That SUCKS about the chain. Glad you are okay! I ran into a cable last year but got the bike pretty much shut down before I hit the ground on a low side. ATGATT
Start is at Turpentine Creek Refuge: 0800 Friday morning. End is same place, some time Sunday. Go to Scotty's links on the first thread to see all that stuff. See ya there
Thanks Devro. He got it right. I had to weld my main frame for the first time. This took me until noon. .
Well I'm just glad you didn't need your arms, legs or head welded back on. Hit a logging chain.....JEEZ! I have hit a few barbed wire fences in the woods though, so who am I to talk :-} Lets ride!
DUDE, think I got flash burn from this picture! Dang Scotty glad ur survived that with only bumps & bruises, coulda been ugly I'm sure. Hope bike's ok as well. CYA soon, Matt
I took the photo with the iphone5 with my back turned. I'm feeling fine from the chain/clothes-lining. I still kinda feel loopy in the head. Maybe this is the new norm?????? Vision and eye dilation is okay though. No concussion. Hmmm. Ride safe!
Well I think the term "to feel normal" is a bit ambiguous. One would first have to define what is "normal" for the given subject. In this case, what would be "normal" for a person who messes with man eating tigers! Scotty buddy, I think you're outside the box of what would be considered "normal" behavior for the rest of us. So I'll just be happy knowing you are feeling fine. ride straight
