Whichever way you look at it it won't be dull, don't forget also that there was a bit of friction with Nasser also, so there will be fireworks. :eek1

The route though if as duney as believed might not best suit the Hummer, but it won't stop the show :clap:clap

I have my money on Toyota this year. Quietly getting on with the job on the best sounding car on the rally.

The dunes of Stage 2 and 3 are going to sort out a lot of competitors this year. Notice that the stages are short, because it is going to go right through the biggest and steepest dune fields ever seen in the Dakar.

Big, steep and deep ? Cause it always seems like deep is the big factor for difficulties (more so once a few dozen trucks and cars churn them up)...come on Neil, take one for the team and ride out there and get us some photos of you getting stuck :freaky

I bet Jake is sitting at home today waiting for the phone to ring. HRC shake down dramas at the last minute.

Only an American like Robby can showboat like that. Reminds me of the guys in the NFL that dance and jump around just for a basic tackle.

But I like it and it brings even more intrigue to the race.

I think I've said it every Dakar since I joined the F5 Team (Jonah and Casey time frame): I prefer the Rumble of a 'Murican V8 over the Bbbrrrrrrraaaaaaaapppppppp of a Euro Turbo Diesel any time.... Sure RG showboats a little bit, but c'mon, he's as 'Murican as Speed Energy!!!!

    Go Robby, GO!

RG's show boating while a little to much for the pinkey out dakar people.

Fucks with his competitors heads and that's a good step towards winning.

And the masses love it/him and the Hummer, so whether you personally love him or hate him, it can only be good for the profile of the event :clap:clap:clap

    I agree completely.

I don't like him and his attitude and I hope he gets his ass kicked from one end of South America to the other, but I am glad to hear he is back.:D

Oh and I agree on the sound of the V8s, I have had trophy truck clips running in the back ground all the time just to hear there sound.

While not spectacular, IIRC it was having to give up pieces of his Touareg to this teammate:

That got RG seriously considering running his own team. Yep, he just didn't fit the Water Carrier mold.

Come to think of it, it was kind of spectacular how Jutta waved him over and then proceeded to strip his car of parts.... :rofl

How do you "almost kill" somebody without any injuries? Close calls are for Mini drivers.

No kidding. I almost killed a couple of hundred people on my way to work yesterday, but luckily missed every single one of them. I did it again today! :lol3
