N00b on the ridge

Hi, I'm new to the forum pay no attention to the oddometer and want to meet some of you Fine Fellows (FF) i think that's what that acronym stands for to go on a ride sometime. Right now, I have a 20" BMX bike. I'm tired of smoking the young lads that I race with. They just don't seem to measure up from a competitive standpoint. Being that I'm 40ish years old, those young bucks 8yo and under just don't like getting a beat down from some old fart. Some people say I'm a big deal around the BMX circuit but that's neither here nor there.

Well, I'm getting tired of pedal power and want to transition to something with a moter. I read somewherez that the hot ticket is a Wine scooter or something like that. It should have a head job, double sprockets, a 45 caliber shot of NOS whatever that is, a banana seat, methanol injection, optispark, trans brake, glowplugs, and ape draggers. I'm not too familiar with biker lingo but hopefully someone has an idear of what I'm talking about.

There was a bike in one of the hyperlinks that had about fiddy hoarsepower for $800. Is that a good deal? I wonder if the person selling the bike has some good riding gear. I read about some leather pants with ventilation around the buttocks area being the go to riding gear for the hot weather we encounter in Florida. I'm inclined to put up my champeenship BMX bike up for trade for the right motercycle. Any and all help is appreciated.

Nice day for the world to end and all. Just so I get this straight, we are now looking for a bike and an FF, but not necessarily a bike owned by the FF we are looking for, unless we eventually find that FF and he happens to have the bike we are looking for and wants to sell it, which is unlikely and even if he did want to sell it probably wounldn't be the right bike, right?
