So I'm in at my local lumberyard the other day and they had a new display of Milwaukee heated jackets and hoodies, one in high Vis.

$179.00 for Jacket, charger and one 12v battery but.... They offer a cig outlet adapter for 30 bucks. Others were less without battery.

All my stuff is Bosch but low and behold they offer a jacket only, but no adapter but I'm sure I could cobble one up.

Anybody tried one of these jackets? Seem nice on or off the bike.

I have one of the Milwaukee jackets. It doesnt get super hot but it does work. Ive tried it on the bike as a mid layer and I can feel the heater on the back but not the chest. I would like to try the DC cord instead of the battery pack. Never owned any other heated gear to give a fair comparison.

You'd have to check the wattage but personally I don't see them working on a bike, to generate enough heat for that you'd fry yourself on a work site.

For what its worth, Until the end of February 2014, Amazon has the Bosch PSJ120 jacket for just under $180 with a battery and charger... just make sure you put the one Sold & Shipped by amazon in your cart.

Battery pouch on the Bosch is in the front, and heats up well according to reviews I youtubed.
