    i am in huaraz at the moment ,it was taken between chachapoyas and huaraz .yes peru has it all ,rainforest riding, high mountain passes ,and everything in between me being a dumb aussie c&%t ,got pickpocketed here and have to wait for my new credit card ,here is what to do while waiting

    I really really really want to ride there. Did you go through Celendin? The road from Celendin to Chachapoyas .... sweet jesus its amazing.

    Isnt the mud there something! As greasy as grease itself - but sticks like bitumen!

    Pickpockets are a pita in Peru - you really have to get used to not carrying stuff in pockets. If youre kicking around Huaraz, take a day to go up to Lago Churup. Ive got a friend who runs a hostal en Huaraz - Zarela Zamora.

    Huaraz is (or at last was) one of the only places in Peru to get Thai food (if you have the urge). Cant remember the guys name - but a Thai climber who moved to Huaraz...
