Hey, with all this crappy weather and the bike in the garage for the winter I'm already thinking ahead to spring. I really want to try to do some photography of motorcycles "in motion" on the road and maybe some track action as well. I've taken a few from the bike and some typical scenic shots with the bike, but not made a serious effort to date to set up in a popular curve somewhere and fire away! I have a Olympus digital camera/tripod and would like some tips from some of the more experienced photogs on the board on camera settings and positioning....... and why not post some of your best so we can see your work! Thanks! :): PS - at least the skiing is great!
I've only ridden with folks from this board three times. My favorite picture has to be the photo below. I was an R60/6 that makes less than half the HP of any other bike on the ride, so I was always way behind the pack. I came around a turn and everybody is parked and looking at Steve's Duc. As I stopped and got off my bike, I managed to get this picture. Note that while Steve is expressing his pertubation at his dismount, Barry and Tim (kneeling behind the bike) are focused on gettting pictures of the mashed bike. I believe it was at this moment that I realized that this group was a bit more hardcore than me. I tend to take pictures of my bike in front of things, but it's really people that make pictures special. PS I apologize for the quality of the picture - I was using a cheap HP digital camera that day.
