Adam.....hey man that is a great pic of you.....almost draggin footpegs!!!! Yeah man great time the other night. Thanks so much once again letting me ride your bike I really appreciate it a lot. Alex + a set of 17 inch wheels = the smartest thing I have ever heard Alex say!!! LOL!!!!!! J
i don't need to 17's to drag pegs, i can easily do that with 50/50 tires on with both feet planted firmly on the pegs. my problem is getting the high speed slides down. i keep on low siding, the cost of riding gear is going to quickly surpass the cost of wheels and tires if i keep on trying high speed slides. some times i can nail them but more often than not i low side... it's just too fine of a line with knobbies.
i nmight take the jeep out to Felda this weekend if anyone wants to go. maybe Felix will be working out there this weekend and can joinin his ba rubicon.
Glad you had a good time Josh! Having evil thoughts about putting the drz up 4 sale now and getting something a little more "track oriented." Damn you for putting those thoughts in my head. Know of anyone that wants a drz up there?
So I was just out driving today and dropped by Sunsports. There wasn't a single dualsport there- is that normal?
I put a Kenda 270 rear on the DRZ, and now have no problem on the street... I just picked a corner on my commute and worked it daily till I got it down then another corner, and another The TMII rear was just like you said- Fine line
I was there a few weeks ago and it was pretty sparse. Anthony mentioned he is thinking about selling his DRz, I think it's an 07. It's clean and low miles. Has a Yoshi exhaust of some sort, LED turn signals, newish tires and low Suzuki seat.... I don't know what he wants for it though
I think I'd only been there once before, but was surprised at how little they had... Don't think I'll probably be buying another bike until Fall maybe - We just spent a crapload on a lot of new stuff we didn't need for the new house, so I'll probably wait a bit before spending a bunch more funds...
Out too..... I'm in the same boat as Rodney except mine went to the east coast working..... Alex- catch up with me sometime and I'll give you a pile of riding dvds... you are going to have a lot of "stuck at home" time soon and will appreciate them.....
Hello everyone. I'm a dual sport rider and I love this site. I just came back from West Virginia and North Carolina yesterday. Temperatures up there were in the 50's at night and 80's during the day. I rode up on a lot of mountain dirt roads and trails. My favorite ride was in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina and West Virginia wasn't too bad either. Lots of trails and dirt roads everywhere. I'm having some trouble uploading my photos. I'll try again latter.
Welcome. The best way to add photos is to have a SmugMug account, (owner of this site owns SmugMug- discounts are around on people's signatures) or photobucket and then link them to the post. Sometimes you can upload one pic through the site, sometimes they have to turn that off to free up site resources.
Welcome xr rider... where you based? I know Alex is probably out, but is anyone else interested in wings and brews tomorrow night?
