Some of the other Regional Forums have a "Craigslist Find" thread. So Let's start our own (since I seem to peruse it daily). The NoVA chatter thread was starting to be a good repository, but this wy we can broaden the scope. How about we keep it limited to the Mid Atlantic (give or take).

    My contribution:

No pic, but it seems like a sweet deal

Great idea! Plus I like the link. I actually E-mailed whomever owns the bike.
I'll report back with what I find out.

Unfortunately I don't have anything add to the thread...yet.

Post a pic if you get one. I'm curious what shape it is in. With such low mileage, I have to think it looks nice. But it makes you wonder bout a bike that has averaged barely 100 miles a year.

That beemer owner must live next door to the local Starbucks. :huh

I would assume it looks something like this one I found on the net...

    Here's another picture I found...

I haven't heard back yet. Usually when you don't hear back it's sold but you never really know...

That guy with the GS never did return my E-mail. :dunno

This guy below is full of himself! :lol3

I called to inquire about the "super motard street tires" and mileage. It's just the tires, no rims. I didn't know a super motard set up used a 21" tire. :lol3
He has 12,000 miles on the bike and I think he said 1,500 on a totally rebuilt engine. WTH did he do the the poor thing? I like the fact that it is so much better than the newer ones.:rofl I wonder if he sell used cars...

Maybe you could offer him your 2004 plus some cash for his 1998 "bike of all bikes. This is the baddest dual sport on the market." 1998 must have been a special year for the XRL since I see ones that are nearly 10 years newer for about that price.

I wonder how he stretched those 17" tires over the 21" front?

Just an FYI you may or may not know about. I listed a truck camper on CL the other day...

If you post and leave an anonymous E-mail address you will get a bunch of excrement in your IN box.
The guy with the XR in the previous post had one thing right...

On guy with a real(?) name and a Hotmail account asked if I still had it. I replied "yes". He sent me some video asking me to watch it to make sure my camper is what he wanted. I thought it was rather strange because I have a link to 50+ pictures I took of it but clicked on the video anyway.
It took me to another page with the video but wouldn't play it. It told me I needed to download something to view it. I don't think so!
Here are some of the others I have received since yesterday

So much for a good thing.

This is more for comedy relief. This guy has posted this bike numerous times over the past several months. He doesn't change the ad either (it must fall over in his garage daily). After seeing the attached photo, how could you NOT want to buy this well maintained bike?:rofl

Wow, i've been studying 12hours straight and you guys just put a huge smile on my face! That was a much needed chuckle. "New(ish) tires" wonder why the "ish"? I've had my bikes fall over in lots of place, some pretty odd, some pretty predictable, but in my garage? That's quite possibly the only place mine hasn't fallen over.

I'm not sure the GS1100 is overpriced. That seems to be the going rate for them. I like those bikes, but I wouldn't pay that much for a 25+ year old bike.

The CR, on the other hand :huh.

Maybe the title of this thread should have been "Today's most outrageous Mid-Atlantic Craigslist find"! :lol3

Have you all ever looked at the "Best of Craigslist"

    http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/all/

    Some good laughs there!

Yeah, I kinda like that K75. It's a descent lookin machine. Also i'm w/ ya butters, the GS is a nice find it's over priced per KBB by alot, but in reality it's hard to find a nice GS1100E that's in good condition. None-the-less i'd not pay the kinda money for one. There's several bikes around 5K I'd buy before I got a GS1100E.
