The concession to allow timing chain replacement on Honda engines at regular intervals, which involves supervised breaking of the engine seals, will be extended until the end of 2014.

    Why am I not surprised

MM got a really great start to his MotoGP career... but so did Jorge (back in 2008), he was actually 2nd in Qatar. After that he took a 3rd, a victory (in Portugal, on his 3rd MotoGP race!), a fourth and another 2nd... so after 5 rounds, he was only 3 points behind Rossi. But then came a few painful crashes and injuries, so his level dropped a lot after those first five rounds. Be interesting to see, how Marquez does compared to that.

I see the Sturgis organizers are designing the MotoGP shirts now. I'll wait until the wolf and bald eagle are shown high fiving each other and hanging out with tatt'ed up bikini chicks.

Thank you for making being a fan of the sport rather tedious.

Headed to COTA and was thinking about getting the Moto Gp app but the reviews I've seen are bad. If I could get the live race audio on it would be worth the $24, anyone here have it and have any input?

I have it on my iPhone. Allows me to stream live timing and audio from the practice sessions. I didn't check it during the racing as I was watching, so no point for me.
With only one race weekend as a data point, there was a time lag I noticed between the commentary and the results stream.

The cell system gets very taxed at a race weekend and is always very slow at Laguna.. YMMV...

Thanks Joe, that was a great interview!

That dude is a wonderful character, and has a magnetic personality.

And to top it all off, he like the Blues Brothers.

    Yeah, what a genuine guy.
Even though the questions were light I get the feeling he'd give you an honest answer to any question.

+1. You could see his emotion when he spoke of Marco. I also like the fact that he has his eye on the future, helping young racers and their families to get in the system.

I forgot that Casey was on Bridgestones the year he won on the Duc, and Vale was on Michelins. Hmm. He did still have admiration for the way Casey did pull of wins on an impossible to ride bike.

In business with Cal? Too funny.

And this interview was before Qatar, correct?
