Stopped in to my local airhead specialty shop with my new high mount PD fender on my bumblbee. The owner [Shail] mentioned that I still had the original, and prone to warping/cracking metal bork brace. He pointed out the aftermarket one he had, purchased at a National BMW rally a few yrs ago. Both he and I have looked for any that are available these days with little success. Anybody got a line on an upgrade for this bracket?

THAT is sooo funny. Those braces are made in the USA By SAn JOSe BMW and retail for about $80.00. same goes for the pretty upper and lower tripple clamps on their as well. What a hoot.

I've got the sheet metal one, not sure if I under stand why it would be prone to warping or cracking...unless the front end hit something. The there would be other things to worry about. Only issue i have w/ the steel one is clearance to the tire.

It looks like MI and Siebenrock sell U.S. made Carrillo rods too.
