Just got out first few sets of michelin anakee 3s in stock. Definitely not as agressive of a tread pattern as the previous two versions. However the treads are fairly wide as well as deep. Had a set of heidenaus next to them and one of our service writers noted the new anakee tread pattern looked like a severly toned down heidenau. Looks like it will do well on the street.

Would love to get some reviews on these tires. Pm me if interested in a set.

Seems much less agressive than the Anakee2

Price for a set of v-speed rated anakee 3s in 1200/1150gs sizes.about$145 front and $174 rear. H rating are a bit less but they are not nearly as popular.

I'm not an expert, but they look like street tires, not dual sport tires.

Would you be able to ship to little corners of the world like NZ?

I doubt we'll get them any time soon and most won't ship tyres overseas :cry

Are there any differences between them that could allow the H version to last longer, or not as long? The higher speed rating is moot for me.

Until something better comes along, I'll stick with the PR3s for street/fire road tires.

I'll be watching these for rider feedback, might be the next great thing. :1drink

With the Anakee 2's we typically saw a little more life with the higher speed rating.

While I agree they are probably a 90% street 10% offoad or even 95% street 5% offroad, the guys at Michelin are pretty close to if not the top of the tire game. When we first saw the PR3's we thought is was a joke and now we sell PR3's 10 to 1 to any other sport touring tire.

Wow. Maybe I should stock up on another couple of sets of the 2s if they are gonna go away. That's *not* a dual sport tire, if one of the 'sports' is off highway...

I really don't like the A III. They look like a street tire. Hopefully the new Metzler won't be a disappointment. They say that they've increased offroad capacities...

As promised pictures of the Anakee 3. First picture is of the rear tire 150/70/17 and the second is a side by side comparison of Anakee 3 on the left and Anakee 2 on the right.

The Tourance Next is due in about a week. Metzeler is calling it a 95% on 5% off road tire. Seems they are going to keep the original Tourance and replace the EXP. Biggest complaint we get from the EXP is the relatively short wear life. The Tourance Next is touted as having long life than the EXP.

    Thanks
