I wouldn't have guessed that you were asking how serious I was. From what I read it sounded like you were asking for me to justify if I'm qualified to race.

I am committed 100% and whether I have enough race miles or not.....

No big deal. You race both cars and bikes, right? Is it bike or car this year?

I was just messing with craigincali. I've raced baja twice one loop and a pen run but on teams. The only long race I've done solo is v2r on my super enduro.

I stopped racing bikes. I got hurt pretty bad at a BITD race a couple yers ago so now I only race cars (cars are supposed to be safer right?). I will be racing my Class 10 car this year. Engine and transmission are being rebuilt right now, car is torn apart and getting prepped.

Good luck, let us know your race# so we can look for you down there !!

Do it, if you finish it will change the way you look at every thing in life, it's hard to explain to people that haven't done it. This was by far the hardest thing I ever attempted and I totally underestimated this event, this is a full pull ( a peninsular run, the real deal) it made me a better human being and I will cheer you on all the way to the finish, the world needs more people in this exclusive club GO FOR IT

I remember you racing in the 09 V2R, didnt you have like 6 punctures or something. The last day I remember you coming into the last pit before Reno, you were still ahead of the trophy trucks, you had your i-pod playing so loud you couldnt even hear us. You got gas and took off like a scoulded cat, the nine-fiddy sounded like a freight-train,good times.

Yup 6 flats fixed one in the field. Rear tire came off the rim while trying to ride one. Rode a flat front and rear for miles. Caught a rock to the rad and had to fill it with my cammelback water then ride for 50 miles with no water. Had to tear the bike apart to fix an electrical short. It was a trying race....and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :banghead:

I was probably listening to white snake. :D

I may be chasing again. There's no way I'll be ready this year. I'm in Reno for 2 months until the end of Sept doing 7D weeks I'm told. The bike isn't ready, spares aren't ready, and I'm definitely not ready.

Let's hear about all the wrenching and training you did this weekend!

I cleaned the S.W. corner of my Garage.:lol3 I'm starting my preperation buildup slow and I'll let it spool up (or spiral out) on it's own.

Any luck on rooms in La Paz?...............Me neither. :cry

I've spent some time on my rowing machine and rode some great singletrack sunday. Far from what I had planned for training but work is taking all my time.

I've always dealt with things by procrastinating then cramming so why should this differ. :lol3
