Will Speedbrain only be running the HRC team, or will they have riders on Speedbrain bikes as well?

    Quinn Cody?

There is still a lot more to learn about the joint venture I am sure; whilst Speedbrain was ostensibly a racing team they were closely linked to their machine, which was well proven and running at the highest of levels.

With reported numerous engines remaining from production it seems strange to walk away from it all - but maybe that's The Power of Dreams :rofl:rofl

    My guess.

Also, they will sure have to support other privateers racing on their now available bike model.

This is the new 350... wonder if they will use the same rearward facing exhaust on the new 450s ?

With Aprilia and BMW/Husky teams out it only leaves KTM, Honda & Yamaha with any serious chance at the podium

So the manufacturer diversity of the last couple of years has actually taken a backward step of late

still the minor players of Sherco and Beta usually have a bike or 2 but little else is likely to come and join in..................oh yeah mustn't forget Jincheng :rofl

interesting is that they use the Rekluse clutch full time, Casteau, Pain and Verhoeven used them at this years Dakar

also interesting things have been very quiet as to who else will be on Yamaha France team now for Dakar 2014..............

    Pain for sure,

    Casteau ??

    Fretigne ??

That Yammy sure seems like about as light as you could make a Dakar bike, a totally minimalistic sprint racer instead of the big African desert sleds of yore.

Verhoeven has been Tweeting as if he is in, so maybe just one more - if Sardegna is anything to go by then Ceci as CDP's no. 2, so maybe Yamaha are rather "busy" also?

Its getting rather competative for those seats in the 3 factory teams + Speedbrain/Husky - so maybe 4 teams?

It's already been announced that Michael Metge will be CD's water carrier for Dakar. Verhoeven has a two year deal, but his is with Yamaha Europe which runs as a slightly different entity than Yamaha France.

    From David Reeve's FB page:

"Well, I finally waded my way through the entry application on the ASO website for the Dakar, and hopefully all of David and the bikes relevant information is on there. Some of it was in French, so David may well find he has been entered into the truck class for all I know. But I think it is all there, and a portion of the entry fee has been paid in..... so come on and support your Zambian. (G)"

No probs - if after the favourites you want to take over from Pyn or Manuel and contribute to the F5 ivers you will be welcome and supported, I'm sure - :clap

Mind you, Manuel will be there even if he is on a lama ::rofl:D
