Thought it might be good to have our own ride report thread. Lots going on with so many other threads and that's great but let's try to keep this thread just for ride reports.

For starters myself and O'Leary headed out from Rogers, Saturday morning and hooked up with JD in Prairie Grove then headed South. We had cool weather but the Sun was out and we all felt great since it had been so cloudy and down right "wintery" for what seems like a never ending winter.

Our first water crossing and all made it just fine. Had the making of a great day! Here O'Leary clears the second water crossing of the day.

JD showing his fine style up on the pegs and cleaning it with no problem.

A few other trip shots. Beautiful day for sure.

We hit Natural Dam some time around 12:30 or so...

Once down by the dam we saw a group standing around the rocks across from the dam and went to see what was going on.......Rock crawling anyone??

Look closely and you will see some very cool "machines"

This young lady, waits her turn to show the "boys" how it's done I'm sure....

After a watching for a while we decided to head back up to the café for some grub.

By the time we got done eating and made it to Mountainburg we were running very late since I had to be back for a birthday party so we hit old 71 and slabbed it back home. Great fun and great friends.

Hey Cup...How much of the ride was dirt like in the pictures and did it get anymore technical than dirt roads? Looks like a fun ride!!

    Thanks!

Most of the roads are dirt or gravel, very little connecting pavement though some. Some is a little more technical but not challenging for average riding skills. O'Leary is just learning the Dual Sport riding and he made it just fine. If however you do want technical that is available too. You can download "Pannell Road" from GPS Exchange and it shoots right off this route and will challenge you fully. Good stops for food and fuel are in Natural Dam and then on over to Mountainburg where you see the next stop at the Silver Bridge quick stop and restaurant. Plan on all day and being tired when you get back. You should have a ball.

Soooo, do we add our RR on this thread or are "they" going to create a sub-sub-forum where we can post a new thread?????

Just go ahead and put the Arkansas rides here. If you want a new thread for your own ride then you can do that to if you want. Thought it would be good to have one thread for all the local rides. Easy to find and of interest to those in this region.

I normally post a few ride reports from time to time, and I usually send links to friends and family. However if all the ride reports are in one thread, it will be hard to sort through, where one ride report ends, and another starts. In a year or two from now, trying to find a certain ride report using the search engine, will mean sorting through lots of pages. I like the idea of having them located in one spot. Just not sure how to find them at a later date???

Just open the link by the post number. It is the number in the right hand upper corner of your report. It is a direct link to the report. Write the report and save it like normal. Reopen it, click on that number and it will open again, this time book mark it and you have a direct link to the report without any other comments. Done.
