So I recently swapped my Shoei RF1100 for the new RF1200.

The indents for the speakers in the new helmet are juuuuuuust a bit small.

Does the newer Sena (I have an SMH10) have smaller speakers by chance?

I recently acquired a SMH10 which I successfully "paired" to my Droid Razr Maxx HD. I'm not having any luck however with using voice prompts to make and answer calls. I have searched this thread as well as other resources but with still have no clear explanation as to how to achieve this. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Yes, I'm still the guy who not only has a VCR but it's also flashing "12:00"!

Thanks. I believe I have a handle on that aspect. My question to be more specific; although the phone VOX is enabled on the Sena I haven't been able to initiate a call by speaking (without manual input to the phone). Perhaps the problem is that the settings on my Droid are not set properly. This seems to have been an issue in the past that has been resolved in the present but I can't establish what was done to resolve it.

On my HTC One M7, all I have to do is pressing the phone button on the Sena and the phone asked me who I want to call. There's nothing to set... You have a few more settings in the settings section of the "Google" app.

while wearing helmet, press the button on the helmet than watch the phone, I bet a screen pops up that says "what do you want me to do"? or something about run this program once, or always? Tell it always.

Than every update to your phone, you will have to go through this again.

Take a screw driver use the handle end to compress and work the foam working out ward to fit the speakers just enough so they fit snug in the larger depression. I had to do this on my Nolan 104.

    I'm not sure I follow?

The available recess for the speakers isn't foam at all, it's the hard shell that you stick the Velcro to...

It's hard foam (or styrofoam) and can be permanently compressed, with care, in just the right spots to make the speakers fit properly.

Maybe I just have big ears but I have to further recess the speakers for comfort on almost every helmet I own. After making absolutely certain where the speakers need to be for optimal performance, I use a sharp modeling knife to remove the padding and liner over the desired location, then make a slice in the liner all around the speaker so just that spot can be compressed. This compromises the shock absorbing performance of the helmet in those locations, which is a compromise you have to accept if you're installing speakers.

I used my sena ALOT in the past 3 years

my base's contact are worn by the pins. sometimes I loose speaker on one side. if I twist the unit it will come back.

what can I use (brush on?) to fill the holes left from pin contact?

You can also touch a hot soldering iron and melt a hole

I had a similar issue with my Garmin Zumo.
I tried a lot of things and ended up dropping a dot of solder. If it's the base, they're inexpensive enough to get a new one.

    I will try solder.

I have three helmets with 3 mounts so I will try to fix first.

The red battery charge led of my SENA SMH10R stopped working. When I plug my sena into the charger, the led is not showing up anymore. The Blue led to indicate that the battery full is still working, that's what it is about in the end, but I wanted to report the problem. I've updated to the latest firmware but red led stays off.

    That's an eyeful!

I guess should do it and start figuring out what all that stuff means...

Picked myself up the dual SMH10 kit.
Upgraded the firmware straight away and tested today.
Works great. May have to reposition the mic as the person on the other end of the phone can hear a fair bit of wind noise but apart from that I'm very happy.
