Welcome to the Rockies Networking thread!

Here's the place to post your virtual business card, info on job leads or jobs wanted, or other business-type services offered in the Rockies area (Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and Montana).

To avoid spamminess, the rules are simple:

    1. One post per business/service offering/contact - be sure your contact info is accurate and if your services are highly local (i.e. no mail order), be sure to include a city and state in your post.

    2. Text only, and no large/overly colorful/downright obnoxious fonts, please. Think "clean Yellow Pages listing" to keep the visual noise level down. This thread is to serve as a reference - it is not another obnoxious advertising space. Nobody wants to repeatedly scroll through visual spam like this every time they visit the thread.

    3. No replies will be permitted in this thread - if you see something you like, want or need, all inquiry/discussion is to be carried on outside of the thread via PMs, email, or phone. It would be a good idea to state your preferred method of contact in your post.

    4. If you are offering or looking for work, please delete your post once you've landed your dream employee/job.

    5. Any overt spamminess (including but not limited to non-Rockies-regional services, abuse of contact info, etc.) will be struck down swiftly by the hand of Mod(erators). If things get out of hand, the whole thread will be punted to Vendors.

    6. Play nice. :D

While we may ride globally, doing business locally just might help out a fellow rider - so post 'em up! :freaky

Love the idea for this post, keep the threads coming...

As the title states, I'm looking for work, and have unfortunately just started to begin my professional networking adventures...

I got my BS from CSU this May in Natural Resources Recreation and Tourism (think applying natural resources management practices to tourism and related industries).

I worked one season from May to the end of October with the BLM as an OHV Recreation Technician, maintaining trails and checking on OHV users.

I have several years experience working with youth of all ages in leadership development and outdoor/experiential education.

I'm currently interning as a Volunteer Coordinator at a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding center in Loveland.

I'm interested in natural resources management, education, youth leadership/development, and private/non-profit organizations working with troubled youth.

Any contacts for people in those fields would be very much appreciated, or even words of advice and points in the right direction.

    Thanks so much-
    Joel

I was laid off in June, I’m starting to get a little desperate :eek1 At this point I’m just looking for a job, any job.

I have 13+ years of experience working in Marketing Communications - b2b marketing, sales support, tradeshows, graphic design, web design, corporate identity, branding, promotions, advertising and PR.

When I was working my way through college I also worked 2+ years as a medical assistant, although I’m not certified. I’ve also worked as a dental office receptionist for a year, and I’ve had a few customer service and inside sales jobs.

    Thanks,
    Anna

I just lost my job in Pharmaceutical Sales. I have 18+ years as a sales professional with a couple of years Executive experience thrown in at a non-profit, but mostly I'm a sales guy.

Proven performer, always finished in the top 10%, and last year finished in the top 2% and earned "President's Club" recognition.

    ***Side Note***
I was able to get several weeks of severence, so I don't have to find my next "career" postion right away, but I am looking for part-time work in the meantime. I'm talking just about ANY evening or weekend work just to pay the bills while I job search during the day.

    PM me.

Work Hard, Play Hard! ...it's a simple motto that we live by.

We earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD after a 4 year journey around the world by motorcycles (www.UltimateJourney.com), and recently returned from 2-months exploring patagonia in Argentina/Chile, including some up-close encounters during the Dakar rally (www.AdventureRealtyExperts.com).

As you might imagine, we have some experience in problem solving, networking, and negotiating.

On the work side, we've built our residential real estate business servicing Boulder Country and N. Metro Denver. Recently ranked as the #1 agent at RE/MAX Alliance-Boulder for 2008, and #9 of ALL Colorado RE/MAX agents in April 2008, we understand what it takes to be successful in a challenging environment.

Basically, we bust our butts for our clients for 10-months, answering our phone daily from 7am-10pm, counselling our clients and helping them reach their real estate goals. We'll do what it takes to make our clients happy. Then around Thanksgiving, we take off for 2-months during the winter holidays to travel the world. We left a 950 Adventure down in Buenos Aires, and return in late November 2009 for our next adventure - up through Peru and Ecuador.

Our business is built on referrals; we want to work with people you care about!

    Bookmark our website at www.AdventureRealtyExperts.com

In the meantime, you can reach us at adventurerealtor at gmail dot com or 303-449-1172 if you want to chat or go for a ride.
