Rox bar risers for the 2013 R1200 GS LC

Anybody have installed the Rox bar risers (the pivoting model) on their 2013 R1200 GS LC: did you have problems with the lines (clutch, brakes...) Did you have to re-route them, or even change them altogether?

The 2013 R1200GS LC has a 1 1/4" diameter handlebar. Rox Doesn't have a riser for that diameter bar yet. It is in the works though. Keep an eye on the site for them.

And the Touratech site in Germany has 40mm risers listed but they're not yet on the USA site. Their risers though don't look like you can adjust the angle like the Rox risers.

I may be a beta tester for Rox when they develop their prototype

I attempted to install my Rox risers from my previous GS on the new one not knowing anout the change in diameter. Obviously they didntbwork. Good news is there appears to be plenty of excess wiring to allow risers without any modification.

That's interesting. Is that a common bar size?

I just heard from Chris Olin, Pres. of Rox risers with this update:

"The block risers are coming off the machine center this week and will go to anodizing. We are looking at July1 to the public."

These risers will be 40mm block risers (i.e., not adjustable in the angle). I've been using the prototype for about 1500 mi. now and they've made a huge difference in my comfort level as I sit more upright with less pressure on my hands.

Here is a link to a picture of a riser I designed and 3D printed for my GS LC. The total cost for the pair was about $50.

I don't have a printer so I paid to have them printed.

Well I've been using the prototype riser now for about 1500 mi. and couldn't be happier. The 40mm risers really alter one's sitting position on the bike, giving me a much more upright and comfy position. This is going to be a must have farkle for tall riders. I'm stoked about them.

The risers don't bind the cables but just barely on the left side. YMMV if BMW's cable lengths vary a bit.

I would post pics but these are the prototype that's polished aluminum and black bolts. The production version will be brushed chrome with matching bolts.

Chris, Pres. of Rox said the production version should be available July 1.

I would like to add to this thread that the pivoting riser you see in this thread is not the Rox Speed FX Pivoting riser. The Riser you see here is a copy and infringes on the Rox Speed FX™ US Patent # 6,920,806. Please do not support people that knock off products invented and Patented by the originator. The Rox Speed FX™ 1.25" Pivoting Riser will be coming off the machine centers this week for proto-typing and fit-up.
