27 degrees the tv was reporting the temp to be at Drake Field. I was heading from Fayetteville, AR to Bentonville, AR to work. The grass was glistening with icy frost. I was going in an hour late (I rode in an hour early in pitch dark the day before as a favor to my opposite) so at least it was sunny. Man what a gorgeous 22 mile ride of 2 lane this morning. Sky was so blue and the air so clear I was glad I decided to brave the cold. My finger tips were hurting by the time I got to work, but I tucked the ole DR into a warm hangar and quickly the pain subsided. To my surprise I met a guy on a cruiser going the other way. See WindRiver I ain't no girlie man I don't even have a windshield or heated grips like the riders of the fancy boy bikes.
was that you that flew over my house at 11:40am this morning? If so, you were a bit north of me here, by maybe 1/4 mi..if not, then whoever it was got mooned! :eek1
I was racing the storms home and flying in light to moderate rain most of the trip or I would of tried to deviate and fly right over you. Went to Little Rock. I was doing 150 Knots with a nice tail wind as I went by. Peace
Point taken, Elvis! You definitely da man! I'm gonna call you when it hits zero out -- you can ride the pig and tell me how your entire body stayed warm with those heated grips.
Very impressive Elvis! There is no way I would have done that even with my heated grips. I need some warmer riding gear............or I just need to grow a pair.
Ozone - Clarksville. Nice and sunny 38 deg. at ozone, foggy and wet in clarksville. still worth it You know the best thing about it?..................I get to ride home tonight.

$37 will buy a few winters worth of starter fluid ( for the truck!) haha quote=DrLewall] Yesterday I found at southtown sporting goods, you know, over by Locomotion..anyway found some snomobile bibs that have the zippers in the legs that go all the way up to the hip, for $37...if you're need some cold wx riding gear, head over there and check it out! also take a look at their hi viz (yellow) rain gear for $37 ea for top and bottom.[/quote]
