Your right I was totally wrong , must be too much Judge Judy. Buyer beware (Must be the chemo i'm on)
I believe this emoticon perfectly demonstrates how I feel. It was not a final drive failure. It was a damaged pivot pin paralever. I'm not quite sure what that is because all I heard was "NOT FINAL DRIVE NOT FINAL DRIVE" but I'll find out more when I pick up the bike. The oil sight glass had started to leak so they're replacing that and it was out of synch at idle so they're doing a tune up. I plan to learn how to work on this bike myself. What do you y'all think the first maintenance thing I should do is? Thanks for your input folks - this experience has been harrowing and educational.
change the oil change the transmission fluid change the differential fluid flush the brake fluid inspect/change air filter is there a fuel filter? inspect inspect all rubber hoses and seals inspect tires for cracking

Sorry to hear about the chemo, Roadstar. That's a nasty battle, and good luck. I'll kiss and make up too. Perhaps I was a little sharp. (backstory starts....) long ago I once sold a toyota celica gt. It was ten years old, 100,000 miles....and it decent shape, for what it was. Five speed manual. Looked cool. A month after I sold it the kid who bought it came to my apartment and told me the clutch went bad. He wanted me to pay for the repair. Even better was when I asked him if he even knew how to drive a clutch before he bought the thing. Nope, he said, but he still wanted money. I told him to take a hike. Kinda soured me on the idea of people coming back after a sale. So, heal up. Get well...and good riding. Cakeeater
I greatly appreciate that, i`m doing good. As i have to go every other week for a 6 hour session (for 12 sessions) . Been out of work for 2 1/2 month`s (colon cancer) & i do get out & ride when i feel good. I`ll try & think real hard what i type before i do next time. I see what your getting at with your sale, & that would put a bad taste in my mouth also. Have a great day
My wife went through cancer treatment. Our three kids were little, it was a horrible time. But...she's doing well, healthy as can be...ten years past treatment...and here's to the same future for you. Cheers, Cakeeater
