As this is a new forum it might be a good learning excercise and prompt a few "I didn't know THEY made a trials bike" reponses! Not sure if we can cover every letter of the Alphabet here but I expect most. Any vintage of trials bike is good...proof of existance must be provided with a pic! :eek1 I'll start things off: A - Ariel (because I am bias....AJS and Aprilia also acceptable!) B- BSA (sorry Bultaco and Beta is just too easy!) C- CCM (also Can-Am, Cotton) OK...so I like four strokes! What else can we come up with as we move along from "D" on? Don't get ahead! Just a couple at a time please...let everyone else play too!
Moto Guzzi...yes! A couple other trials brands follow under "M" as well... but we're not there yet! Any takers for D-F or did I take the easy ones and leave the hard ones?
Another "D".....also recently posted in another thread - a Dot. As for E...that's "Easy". (Yeah I know!) The next few letters are "easy" too....a few modern era bikes come to mind!
Very good! A nice looking machine. Also a little obscure company from Japan made some trials bikes! We are up to "L" now...might be a tough one?
Yep. I wasn't even aware of a KTM trials bike until recently. I don't think they got into production but they looked good . Here's another obscure Japanese brand!
I for Indian :huh Warren Kleis built this bike up a couple years ago to ride in AHRMA and MAVT Vintage Trials.
Dick Man also built an Indian trials bike...based on the Royal Enfield/ Indians. As for the letter "L", unless someone built a trials model Laverda or one of these...it might be time to move on to "M"! That should be an easy one!

Good choice...a real classic. I think the modern era trials riders here are asleep at the wheel! I can't believe no one rang in with this one (not to mention Beta earlier!) below! We're now up to "M"...what could that be?
Well, with three Norton-based avatars in this thread I expect this one goes without saying! The rigid framed model 500 T pictured here was one of the early dedicated trials bikes sold by a manufacturer. They've come a long way! Any guesses for "O"? Another easy one!
Too easy. My first trials bike was one. M could also have been Mecatecno, or Merlin. There was also a Spanish trials bike the name of which began with J, but I'm not sure if it ever reached production, and indeed a French trials bike whose name also began with J, which did reach production. Any guesses?

The first trials bike I rode as well...in this case my dad's. Ossa was a major player in the day. The Plonker model here was subsequently replaced by the much more capable Mick Andrew's Replica (below) and further developed over the years until the factory's demise.
