I don't know about you, but my self I'm tired of the same tire/oil/final drive, etc, etc postings, so lets have some fun and post pictures of the things you have MADE for your beloved GS, No matter the year or the model. Lets have fun
Well, I didn't make it, but my wife did. We took a pet carrier from a locak big box pet store and she modified it to attach to my Bagster tank protector using the same connection points as my tank bag. ~$45.00 My best riding buddy, Tyler. He's turned around kind of sideways in this image so it doesn't really do it justice to how he would normally be positioned when in motion. This image is a little better as far as showing his riding position and his uppity attitude about the fact that he rides a BMW.
Psssssst.... Don't tell your wife, but dogs on bikes are babe magnets. Tyler and I just finished a rather spirited run across the Fort Mountain twisties in NW GA from home to our weekend cabin. Hard to believe it's February and warm enough for him to ride. He kind of has a temperature sweet spot of 60-90 F and with a 12V heat pad (again, my wife's engineering) he is good down to mid-lower 50's.
Ok, here's a GPS holder made from stainless sheet . to fit a TT winsield brace. 1. Add S.S.plate to brace to make a .030" thick throat 2. cut out form in SS sheet 3. Bend , silver solder, paint and voila! 4. On the pig
I`m being limited to one photo per post. Had to combine them into one in Photoshop to post a series. Anyone else having this problem? How did you do it mb?
on my 03 1150gs i changed to adv seat and rear rack then made some soft saddlebag mounts and made a 2 gallon auxillary gas tank behind the bag mount for protection. the tank was plumbed into the 12 gallon main tank for a 14 gallon fuel capacity.
Simple bracket to mount my XM radio, Antenna, MixIt2 Amp and Cobra radar detector. Note everything is held in place with industrial strength velcro. The rubber bands are just "belt and suspenders"
I think I posted the link to the first image then came back and edited the post for the 2nd, but I've never had issues posting more than 1 image at a time before. Are you using an image hosting site (Photobucket, Smugmug, Picasa, etc.) or are you trying to upload directly to this site?
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=426461 A friend helped, though. But we made it together. Wind-screen mount-bits + turn-signal relocators, for the HP2.
I made this small bracket to hold a switch for my Hella lights. I like it because you can easily reach it without removing your hand from the grip. Just a thumb stroke away.
