Ok, so the Baja 1k is over. Who besides me is getting excited already for the M1K??? Wish we were closer and could actually do a little testing in the desert, not the same in CT..

Still not sure if I can make this race yet, but went ahead and got Ohlins forks and shock mounted on the F800GS just last week. Rekluse said they may have an auto clutch released within a month or so. The bike will be prepped, ready, and on standby.

Getting my junk in order for the MK1. Riding a Crf450x. Turned a few miles in Baja Norte and Sur, but not much in-between.
Really looking forward to the experience. I've done one 1,600 ride on a dirt bike using a gps for route nav. but never used a road book. Counting down the days.

Looking forward to hearing the new classes as well. Not sure if I'm going to ride again on my 350 or get a bigger bike.

Well guys still trying to finalize transport options, not sure options if I get the bike out to Mexicali and don't have car or truck for my crew 3 people that will be coming along. Considering renting a truck from san Diego to Cabo $$$$$.. or making the drive again in my own truck ( 8000miles).. Any good ideas? I'm open for options looking for the most convenient and least expensive. We know those 2 don't go together but thats why trying to work this out now...

All I know is we will be at the start line 1 way or another.

Sounds like you're almost better off driving out again. Mike and I went through the same problem last year. I'm happy to share resources with you, I can haul extra people in my Sprinter and Mike will be doing remote service in the Element. Everything is very loose, until the first of the year though but up for anything really.

Fly into San Diego, buy a $1000 dollar or less car on CL and then leave it it Cabo and fly back. If it dies, the crew can find rides in other rigs.....

    Here's one...there are tons:

Thanks guys, sending the bike down with you Aaron is my first choice just need to line up a ride for the rest of the crew to get to Cabo, we all know it's tough when you have several different riders at different speeds with different needs and problems.

I did consider the buying a cheep car and driving but wasn't sure how much of a pain it would be to get it all set and registered etc from east coast to west.

Luckily we still have some time to work out the details. If there is a team or 2 located between New England and Mexicali that is considering doing the race and needs help with transport that would make my decision easier.

I have an idea out there to get some bikes to Mexicalli.

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=833489

I'll just need to get some idea as to how many bikes are going.

At a minimum- I have a truck going from AUSTIN.

Get your bikes to Austin and I'll take care of the rest.
