Although I did want to take our waitress home with me, I did not care for the pizza or cider at lanesplitters last time.

Is there good BBQ near that area? There is a Kinders in Walnut Creek now. Anyone tried it yet?

If you want good BBQ, hit Bo's in Lafayette or Smokin' Okie in Pleasant Hill.

I'm familiar with, and have occasionally gotten good bbq at, both. Only a little better than Back-40 typically, but similarly over-priced. BBQ is cheap meat, except in Yuppieland(tm). :huh

Hey Ben,
I thought the Pizza, Beer and company was pretty good at LaneSplitter's ...

(BTW ... there is BBQ all over Oakland for those coming in from the lily white 'burbs who may not "venture into the hood".

Everett & Jones BBQ (very close to Lane Splitter on San Pablo, iirc)
KC BBQ
Flint's BBQ

There are two or three more ... these are the only ones i've tried lately.)
None are cheap ... quality varies ... not that good for a MC Eat & Ride, imo.
