Congrats! I see you've got TKCs mounted, so you can have fun roosting in the pile of coffee grounds they dump around back. Just be careful -- sometimes they're still hot; I prefer to add a little room-temperature soy milk to the grounds before I spin up the rear in a long, smoky, full-bodied Sumatran dark roast-scented burnout.
Starbucks, where the hell is Starbucks? We have no such animal out here in the sticks. We have to roast our own to get good stuff!

FYI, Starbucks will cause final drive failure. This is the first and only time my bike was at a SB and I'm convinced that is the reason that the final drive went out in less than 2k mi later. Me beating the snot out of it the prior 120k I'm sure had nothing to do with it. Hacky & MM it was great to see two at the National. *edit* ps: you need some steeckers on that thing.

I remember the GS intro in bike mags and that rare time you'd see one out and about. The appearance was utilitarian and although several of them have since grown on me the original appearance was an acquired taste. The current models though are absolutely gorgeous and you can easily see where BM has tweaked the bikes in a zillion ways but the easiest one to appreciate is the way all of them now have a far more emphasis on integral design. By that I mean it's not tacked on parts like you might notice in say, a rectangular salt box house with a bay window and a French door; it's the inherent design of the assembly. This bike's a perfect example; well thought out graphics, a less Bavarian color palette, and a very tasteful mix of materials that all make a bike that's sharper than the sum of its parts. What a beauty.
I recently traded plus $$ my 1150GS for a new to me 09 1200GS. My 1150 was blue and white and I loved it from day one. My 1200 is black on dark grey with a little silver...I would love to dress her up in blue and white...pure vanity.
