I know exactly where it is, and will go by it today in a cage. If I could just get my visitor to ride on my bike, I could nab it.

Well why have you not nabbed it yet this morning?

I hit the wet stuff early enough to not get completely soaked.
Just got top of my slacks from the knees to mid thigh as we crawled along from the spur up to Johnson road.

Couldn't quite find the correct angle because it was really muddy. But here it is.

The tag was at Cave Springs Lake on Hwy 112. The Lake was built by a man named Elijah Allen. It was built around 1852 to provide hydraulic power for a a gristmill.

Allen used the Scottish term for lake (loch) and following the tradition to name the lake after a woman he named it after his daughter Lono. Thus it began life as Loch Lono. Later, Wilson Mortimer Bartlett purchased the lake and surrounding property about the same time that Cave Springs incorporated in 1910. He made the Loch more permanent in 1914 by building a a concrete dam structure that still carries the names of Loch Lono and Bartlett Dam with the date of 1914.

The Illinois River Watershed Partnership and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission drained the lake and are working to restore the natural stream habitat now.
