The Sidecar Rally will be run by the Monarchs Motorbicycle Club at Carter's Beach just out of Strathmerton on the Murray River yet again on the weekend following the Anzac Day Public Holiday. Some will commence gathering on the evening of the Anzac Day Public Holiday and some may gather even earlier than that if they so desire but mostly, the organisers won't be there til the arvo of Anzac day. Usual Rally awards Saturdee arvo.

The Monarchs have probably more sidecars in their Club than any other Club in the Country, which is a big boast but I right now throw the glove down and challenge any other Club to turn up with more sidecars that the Monarchs turn up with.

    Let the fun begin.

Interesting claim, Doonie. Do you just mean road sidecars? What numbers?

Mostly road. A few road ones go seriously off road. Haven't got an accurate count but I think it's more than thirty.

Hey Doonie, Sorry to take this a bit off topic, I just wanted to ask what the go is for joining the Monarchs? Do I just fill in the form and send it off with a cheque or do I need an introduction from an existing member? The reason I ask is I am hoping to check out a few older outfits in the near future and if I buy one I would like to put it on club rego.
Just to keep things on topic, If I can get it all sorted in time I hope to make the rally :D
    Cheers.
    Paul.

Nothing like a bit of shameless self promotion:lol3
It's a nice outfit but a fair bit more than I can afford to pay right now. More looking for a fixer upper that I can take to next years OCR.
I have a lead on one, just waiting for the owner to get back to me with a time for an inspection.

Here ya go Gazza. Seconds after this pic was taken this giant beast launched himself at my throat. Only my many years of Ninja training saved me from a gruesome death. I avoided his lunge with a backwards ninja leap and he missed me. He then scuttled away up another tree, in disgust. As you know, they've only got one lunge in them. :D:D:D Sorry, I'm all out of pics.

    Pharkk me!

Monarchs have gone hi tech with their web page:D

Doonie, any spots left for your Easter ride?

I have lots of photo's of several sidecar rallys at Carters Beach, just can't find them at the moment, and even if I do, I still can't upload them to ADVR as pictures.

    Oh well!

Sorry, wont be at this years Sidecar rally, don't return from Vietnam till the 28th April.

    Cheers, thanks for that.
I'll fill in the form and post it off tomorrow. I would have liked to come to the next meeting and say g'day but being a shift worker makes that a bit hard.
Hope to see you at the rally :clap
