The state of Michigan just approved my registration for a 1976 Michigan plate the previous owner gave me when i bought my R90/6 recently. I think it looks cool as hell. Anyone else run a vintage plate?

my '85 is eligible for an antique motorcycle tag this year. Can't wait. It's got a picture of an old bike stamped in the tag.

I just stepped out in the garage, but didn't feel like opening the door , so you get a sort of oblique view of it. I have a '69 plate on the '69,too.

I really want to put this on the /2, but I get pummelled by NYS Motor Vehicles, for relatively simple things. This would make their head explode. Has anyone been through this process in NY?

Sadly, Louisiana doesn't allow YOM plates. And my DS7 doesn't qualify for an Antique plate since it's not factory original.

I found a 1975 Texas plate off of ebay. The last time I registered (I'm in Texas also) I took the plate to the courthouse, the clerk ran a search and said it was OK. Of course you have to register it as a Antique and there are some restrictions. I also put a '68 plate on my '68 Triumph, same deal.

Come to think of it, I may have another '75 plate. Send me a PM and I'll check.

I bought a '73 plate for my R75/5 - I'll post it when I put it on (middle of a move and boxed up the garage). I was unsure of the process for registering it and dug through the general statutes online. Apparently any vehicle in North Carolina that is 35 years of age or older can sport a year of manufacture tag, if the driver keeps the registered tag with the vehicle. If I'm interpreting correctly, I can just bolt on this 1973 plate (which has no connection to me in any database) and toss the registered plate in the saddlebag, which is kind of strange. . . but cool. :freaky
