F1 2013

Well I have not seen a thread yet so I will start one.

Speed is not doing F1 next year....so tell me is there any reason to keep speed? I mean sure you get that great programming like Pinks...

I for one kept the dish package I had for one reason F1.

Is it going to NBC Sports? Need Speed for the GP, M2, M3 races.

And for WSBK. Moto2 and WSBK were far better than MotoGP this year. And better than F1 IMHO.

yes...it went to NBC.

There is just so little on speed any longer that I can not justify the top package just to get the few channels I watch.

Speedvision was great, lost drive-in, and all that. This is just so lacking.

I've grown tired on the Moto GP circus and while I watch some WSBK and enjoy motocross I can live without them.
Need to double check my Direct TV options and maybe trim the package down if possible. 105 ish a month is just too much for how little I care about TV in general.

On topic - Can't wait for 2013 F1 on NBC but will miss a couple of the guys from the Speed broadcast. Hoping the coverage won't be any less (I know they're calling it expanded).

Expanded....it always sucked when it was not on speed. They chop it down to the minimum. No filler, no pre-race, no Q, no practice. I doubt it will be as good as the speed coverage. I hope I am surprised.

That is what I fear....qualify in F1 is the best in motorsports. Not to start nascar bashing but qualify in nascar is a total snooze fest....with F1 you don't know who is going to be on the pole till the clock hits 00:00...and then sometimes you have to wait.

People that say F1 is a bore need to watch it again....this past season had some great racing....up to the last race. Kimi and schui wheel to wheel around 2-3 turns....great stuff.

I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised. The last 10+ years have been awesome.

The season itself should be another cracker.
