It works ok but you will require a led flasher unit and maybe need to buy led dash globe as well. This depends on the type of led flasher unit.

As a burned out old auto electrician I can sort out an electronic flasher unit.. build my own if necessary.. just wondering how bright these are compared to Led blinkers per se.

I guess I should have stated that up front.

From my experience they are as bright or brighter.
I have used ebay ones and Jaycar.
I will say the ones in the link are white.
Most forums recomend yellow for yellow and red for red etc

    I tried these:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/310957323171

Which had about the same light output as a candle. Cree LED's might be better?

Decided to stay with incandescent bulbs in the indicators, but used these in the tail light.

    www.ebay.com.au/itm/221322016555

DR650RS has 2 rear facing stop/tail bulbs and stopped in my driveway with the brake light on at night, it lights up the neighbours fence (about 30m away) Fecking bright! :D

Had a crack & built my own out of some aluminium square bar i had in the shed.
How to do it....well, #1, make sure the beer fridge is full, slink out to the shed away from the Mrs, shape up some aluminium or whatever takes your fancy, drill a 10mm hole & drop in a 10mm orange LED & wire a 0.5 watt 120 Ohm resistor in series on the positive wire, mount em up any way ya like, then once youve got flashing lights, bloody well sit back & reward yourself with another beer for a job well done :clap

all up cost me less than $5 from Jaycar

    Ain't that the truth! :lol3

Somewhere in is the minimum distance they have to stick out as well as required brightness level etc.

Viewing angles, colour temperature etc etc :eek1 :norton

But, it does look like it was written to accommodate more modern lighting such as LEDs. :deal

Fortunately it seems so complex that it might be hard to police. :D but it wouldn't take Einstein to realize that my dodgy DR setup is a long way from legal :deal or safe. :lol3
