Berkshire Big Adventure. It's the 7th annual one day mid-May Dual Sport event put on by the Berkshire Trail Riders.

We are expanding the routing this year and giving riders more choices of terrain and distance to cover. Details coming soon. Stay tuned.

    Ah ha! Good question.

The BBA is the Berkshire Big Adventure ride. This year it will be the best dualsport and advnture ride in New England! Yes, my friends, you'll get to choose from two separate routes this year for your riding enjoyment. We'll have a thumper route for those lighter dualsport bikes (no enduro bikes) who want a more challenging ride and an adventure route for the big twins, etc. (For those of you who remember last year's Fall 2-day Dualsport Ride, the thumper route does not use Enduro/Turkey Run trails.)

More details will follow in the upcoming weeks.

What exactly do you mean no enduro bikes on the thumper (lighter bike) ride. I would consider my bikes enduro bikes, but I've never done an enduro. Kind of confusing.

They're talking about your 400 specifically. If it doesn't come stock with turn signals, a horn, and a brake light(both levers) this ride isn't for you. This is a ride for bikes like a GS, a KTM adventure,a KLR,a V-Strom. Bikes that CAN go into the woods but are more comfortable on the street or on fire roads and 2-track. Not so much for single track. There will most likely be some hero sections that have single track but not a lot and certainly nothing like the trails your used to riding.

Thank you for clarifying, my bike is plated but it seems like this is a adventure bike only event.

Not "only" but it really is set up for that type of bike(my opinion). A DRZ like the KLR is fine but he doesn't own either of those.
