I was there for a short bit, rode for an hour with some of the guys and cut off on my own.

Sometimes, you just need to kick back on the highway pegs and the miles slide right on by!

My ride started at about 4PM Friday and I was back home at about 9:30PM Saturday, during this 30 hour duration I applied just under 700 miles to the KLRs odometer.

Thanks to all of you, I enjoyed the weekend a lot, I'll be there for the next one; and btw, the best of it was all the good words and comments I heard about Denis (XCRider). It makes me proud of my son.

Thanks everyone, I had a great ride and a very nice campout. Thanks too for all the kind comments. Special thanks to Scott for being an ambassador with the Forest Service and Andrew for the loaned insulation for my forgotten thermarest!

HBN I think I was more mild than wild.

It was a great time especially with the super weather we had on Saturday. Thanks again Jeremy for leading and helping with the flat. It's so nice to just ride and not have to think about where to go or when to turn.

By the way, Mel knew exactly where he was going

    Waiting for the Ramp Rangers.

When the Ramp Rangers were done we continued up Burner Mt to FS14 and headed back to the CG.

Photo op at Laurel Fork Overlook.

When we got back to CG the water had fallen enough that the fishermen were trying again. They were in my site all 4 days. All of them very friendly.

This guy might be a little deep for the current he's standing in. :dunno

After getting out of my gear I went over to the Taj Mahal.
KitchenWitch had a big pot of vegetable beef soup with, of course,
    ramps. Good stuff! :thumb
We also had a few more FFs show up while we were gone.

Sorry. I forgot to shoot the food porn. :cry

OK, here's a few from Saturday--I stuck the HDR photos of Blackwater Falls and Spruce Knob. Here's some of the Saturday night villains . . . . :clap
Feeling decidedly unguilty that morning on Spruce Knob.

We snuck into the Purple Fiddle before they closed it for that afternoon's wedding reception . . . . or maybe they thought we'd scare the bride away . . . :lol3

Taken on Saturday, not HDR. I didn't notice the small rainbow at the base of the falls until I was messing with the processing . . . . .

While getting ready for the days ride a truck with a canoe on top pulled in across the road. I figured it was fishermen headed to Spruce Knob Lake when two people in whitewater gear start unloading the boat.

I was beginning to wish I had my boat with me. 16 miles of class 1 wilderness river. A great run if there weren't too many trees across the river. I would have wanted another boat on the trip. And air bags in the boats.

    Time to ride! :clap
    [IMG]

mtnflow lead us past Spruce Knob Lake and down the Allegheny Front to Rt28 were we stopped so scottP could have a smoke. :D

L to R...AdvWolf, Don, goosecreek, scottP, mtnflow, Eric, and h14xl.

We went south on 28 then left on FS54(I think). Another break at FS54 & FS106 at the Va. border.

No action photos on the gravel because I was too busy keeping up with mtnflow, Eric, and Don. I finally got a few on Upper North Fork Rd.
    [IMG][IMG]

Another break at the end of Upper North Fork Road.

mtnflow headed home from here. Thanks for the ride mtnflow! :thumb

h14xl lead us to Circleville for fuel...

...then to Cherry Grove for lunch. Skip the burgers and get a chili dog. :nod
    [IMG]

If you ever stop here ask h14xl why you don't want to use the RR ties on the left to support yourself while you put your kickstand down. :D

After lunch h14xl lead us back up the Front towards the CG.

Lots of new FFs in the CG when we got back.

KithenWitch had Chili cooking. Yes, there's ramps inside. :clap
    [IMG]

    It didn't last very long.
