MS Tag-O-Rama

If it's still there on the 22nd i'll come get. First free weekend i've got, would love to come up there, grab it, and camp out. Maybe I can talk some of these other riders around here to make the trip with me. Good excuse to throw the side bags on the bike and try them out

Sorry for the late post, but as soon as I got home, it was right back out for wolfywifey's B-day dinner!


Well, I finally got a day with enough free time to head after the tag, so once my day freed up I headed out.

Destination: Woodall mountain. Near Iuka , Ms. Approximately 250 miles round trip.

This tag now surpasses my previous grab at Holcutt, Ms (#27 on tag map) as the Farthest Northern tag placement & grab even if only by 10 miles by road (5 by the crow).

Ace was hunkered down after weathering the recent rain & storms. It appeared he'd had a rough night as his eyes were quite bloodshot...

Ace was doing a lot of muttering, but I heard him mention beer, and decided it was time to go & get one!



The weather was getting questionable, and I was racing this small storm. Somehow I got lucky in my timing & managed to Slip between 2 small cells. I only got a few small Sprinkles. (sry for the bad pic. My riding P&s is on its last legs. Though in its defense, it probably didn't care for the 85+ mph attempt at focus....)




And once home, Ace got his beer!

Somebody had to do it! Its been a busy busy month at our household. We had to have a lot of work done to fix a water leak thanks to an idiot that designed the roof not properly considering water runoff, had photo shoots taking my weekend days when it wasn't raining... finally got my helmet time. Gonna try and place Ace Sunday. Probably will be a relatively easy one as the folks may tag along

Hey wolfy, what kind of camera are you using in you tag photos?

Just snagged a Sony Nex-6 with a couple of sigma lenses (30mm and 19mm f2.8) so I don't feel the desire to drag my pro gear around.

Cool, I've been thinking of getting a micro four thirds so I don't have to cary my larger camera on regular rides. Right now I carry my 60D with L series lens but it's a lot of bulk and weight. I also want a 5D MkIII to use on my pro shoots instead of my 7D. The sony pics look really good and have a nice Bokeh.
