looks like the ADV i ordered more than a month ago, arrives next week..........:huh Should i be nervous no , because i have the HP2, but these days when i ride it on road i am starting wondering how much confortable would be the ADV, maybe a lot more. It´s been 3 years since i traded my first ADV for the HP2........... I also wonder what would be to have a fuel range of at least 600k, now that i have only 190k and i start getting worried about fuel at 150k....... And overall now i can stop dreaming about some long trips and start planning them..........: Alps, Carpatia, Urals off road there is no question, of course that is why i think i´ll better take the HP2 to Morocco leaving the ADv for a more "civilized" trips. i wonder what would be to have the ESA.......changing setups anytime, and the ASC and the ABS on wet streets traps, ......:eek1 i wonder what would be to have a seat two times or more wider than the HP2 one. i wonder how would i feel looking both bikes on my garage......... i wonder many things these days...........and in the meantime........ I RIDE
good read... I also have an 07 GSA and an 06 HP2. I think when i got the GSA, I stopped riding the HP2 as often but fuel range was never an issue after I got the big HPN tank. Now I think I'll get rid of the big HPN tank and ride the HP2 as it was meant to ridden...unfortunately there is not much great offroad riding here in South Florida. Cheers!
hi, i agree with you, now i intend to leave the HP2 on stock, but geared with pure knobbies tires as the MEFO´s are, just to enjoy it on its pure off road spirit. The ADV will be for everything else, maybe some off road but on touring purposes, no sport dirt riding intended as on the HP2 will be. cheers
I'm happy to report that I am the newest member of the club! I just rode it to Las Vegas from Denton TX in 3 days. 1350-ish miles in 3 days. Longest day was 533 miles. It was a blast! It makes me appreciate how smooth the GSA is. Riding the HP2 is raw biking...I feel all the bumps and wind, bugs in my face and noise, and it is a blast! That said, the GSA is smoother riding down the road and much more protective of my body. I can't wait to ride them both back-to-back. I'll post pictures when I have the motivation to figure out smugmug or photobucket. Cheers!
