I'm looking at installing a Seat Concepts kit on my KTM 690R.

Looking for feedback from another 690 owner.

    Thanks

hey so i had the same idea did some research and found the gel version of it for a reasonable price in ktmtwins.com the other option is the Corbin seat, I installed the corbin seat and its better than the regular because is wider on the back however is pretty hard still, good for short on road rides but terrible for off road.
i would recommend to try the gel version, let me know how it works

Even the most basic search on here should yield a wealth of posts about Seat Concepts. I don't think I've heard a bad things said about them. I certainly like mine.

I just put one on my 690 and it seems good so far. They have great reviews from a lot of different riders. The 690 seat pan is a real pain in the ass though. I tried from 65 to 110 psi and most of the staples would just bend or break. I used stainless staples too. Some of them stuck and I did a double row in a lot of spots. Time will tell how the staples hold up.

I used tiny self tappers rather than staples. Neither of my staple guns would work, same thing, partial penetration or bending. Drilled pilot holes for the self tappers.

All my other seat pans worked fine.
