Heidenau K28 Sidecar Tires

Heidenau US has brought over some of the flat profile sidecar tires that have already been in Europe for a few years. Only size available at this time is the 4.00x18.

That's a nice tire! Catering to the Soviet Steeds community I see.

Sure would be nice if some tire maker came out with a 19" TL tire like that for all of us GS guys.

It does seem like it would be a nice tire. I'm sure you aren't the only one wishing for the 19". The Ural guys would love to have a flat tread 19" as well.

What is the overall height (mounted) of that tire? Is it taller than the Avon Safety Mileage 18?

For the 19" front, I have been happy with the Avon Sidecar Triple Duty by the way, lasts well and steers very well.

I checked the Heidenau spec sheet and that tire isn't listed yet, so no help from me on overall height.

But that's another TT tire. What I want is a 19" Avon Sidecar Triple Duty or Heidenau K28 that's TL! I've posted before about guys running TT tires on TL rims, and they seem to work OK, but I'd really rather have a TL.

I can't help you out with the diameter of a mounted K28 tire. I have only had them a few days and haven't mounted one yet. The diameter of an unmounted tire is about 26".

Ok I maybe stupid but what is the difference with a TL and TT tyre ??
I'm runnin the last of my Duro 308s and slowly replacing with Hendenau K37s as I do bout 50/50 dirt/gravel and paved ....

TT = Tube type
TL = Tubeless

For some of you your wish has come true. Heidenau has announced that they are going to make the K28 in a 4.00x19. I assume that it still going to be a tube type tire. No word yet on availability.

Make sure you put some 19" HD tubes into inventory so you can sell a package deal to guys--"Hey, guys! Buy a tire and two tubes for the same price as a tire and tube combo with an extra tube!!"

Sounds like a good Ural size tire.
