DFW - First Friday Beer Meets

While mulling over our common desire to have more beer meets in the DFW area, I had a lightbulb moment the other day:

We could have a beer meet on the First Friday of each month, with a rotation of various venues from north, east, south, and west of DFW airport.

For example, the first Friday in March is the 2nd (this Friday), and we could have a meet somewhere north of the airport (since the last one was west of it, at Flips in Grapevine) -- maybe something in Lewisville or Frisco. Then the first Friday of April, we could eat somewhere east, in Addison or Dallas. (*Not saying that we have to have one this Friday in particular -- just an example.*)

The specific venue could be up for suggestion, though I think the geographic orientation (N/E/S/W) would help narrow it down. That way everyone from the metroplex could make it to a meet every now and then.

Even though I'm a n00b, I'll bite...

Sounds equitable enough in location selection, you seem to have thought it out pretty good so I don't see why anyone would object. Besides, we're talking about hanging out and drinking beer...

Unless, of course, CodyY swoops in and vetos it with a two-word post for some reason!

I ride a sportbike can i still join?? I need some riding buddies that dont do 100+ on the free ways like my dumbass friends. Why dont people at my age understand the concept of "Sport-Touring"?

What if we just do A Friday each month?

I don't know of any places south of The Bridge, but if no one else suggests anywhere, I can suggest some up here in Denton.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if CodyY did 100+ with no tires.

I don't have a DS bike right now so I usually ride my sportbike to these things.

Good to know we're not ENTIRELY dual-sport, as whenever I show up I'll be on a TU250!

BTW, I am down to an FZ1.....and they still let me hang out.
