Great bike - used to be my favorite.
PRO: Clean, unmolested, plated, reliable as a watch, 280 makes big torque, priced right, cheap to operate.
CON: Heavy, front end tends to push, you will finish second.

I don't see a starter housing on that engine. Is it a kicker only? Make certain that's what you want. I have a kicker again and sorely miss the magic button.

Hmmm... Wonder of those would fit a 74' R75/6? Oh no .. must resist.

According to Real OEM they should fit. The stock pipes are exactly the same part number.

the only XR with a starter is the 650L

the 250 and 400 are quite similar in a lot of ways (share plastics, etc)

if I'd seen that in time I would have jumped on it, the 250R is about the only XR I haven't had yet

Nova trail bike with shaftdrive and new parts, $800, Wheatridge

I suspect he may be high. It's a nice bike and all, but similar rzs on ebay with literally a third the mileage sell for right around 60-50 percent of what he's asking. I think if you're in the six thousand by god dollar motorcycle prices, you might want to like, you know, roll it out from behind the shed.

Hasn't that bike traded hands like 3 times in last few years?

I have seen one of these, or maybe this one, for sale several times in the last couple of years. Maybe someone thinks it is a real cool bike until they ride it and scare themselves half to death.

Yea I should probably hold out for a more mellow ride, like an RZ500 or something.

The least he could have done is put it on a milk crate stand, but I suppose the dirt yard and bare wheel in the background are worth something.

Given that the photo was taken nearly 8.5 years ago I hope it still looks as good. I've always wanted one of these but I suspect that if I brought it home that the household management would have a fit.... One day.
