The model number for the '84 and '85 is different. I used to have all the differences memorized but all I can remember now is the ignition module.

The LC had a monoshock (triangulated swing arm like in the '70s) suspension and no powervalve. It was not sold in the US.

The RZ350 was also called the LC ("elsie") in europe.

I've seen an R1-Z grey market imported into California. Someone parked it next to my grey market RZ500 at Laguna. it's a cute little bike.
I've had my 90 RZ 350 parked next to a RZ 500. They're both cute little bikes.

Ran into (thankfully not literally) this R1-Z with a cool looking front fairing.

anotherguy, sorry I misled you somewhat with 'breaker's yard'.

It is a breaker's yard, but the area in the photos is for bikes that will be checked with any necessary repairs taken out. They will then be shipped to the main outlet of a secondhand biker dealer.

The bikes in the area are not for sale unfortunately.

White seems to be the default color, but encountered a decent looking yellow one today:

Yes, just yes. Looks like I have another bike to pine after, most likely never to have my desires fulfilled. Oh well, my '84 RZ350 will have to fill the void and it will do so very well :)

Last year for the RZ350 YPVS in Canada was 1990 and in Brazil and Eruope I believe it was 1992.

Close. YPVS RZ350 in the US was 84 and 85
