For those that missed HoosierTrailMaster's "Phoenix Meets Tucson" ride a couple of weeks back, we are planning a redo.

Sat. Feb 1st, RTR 0930, at the stage in Marana.

As stated before, this is a fun but fairly rocky two track ride, with several water crossings and a couple of technical sections. We may add in the ST hill climb loop for those interested. There are plenty with the talent to do this ride on big bikes, but you will probably have more fun on the little bike. Plan lunch in Oracle.

Do you think it's possible to do this route over and back and then go run Chiva falls in the afternoon? If we had a small group of good riders.

When I did it with Roger Razr, I think it was about 1.5 hrs each way with a few stops stops and a reasonable pace. I think with a larger group you would be doing well to get over and back in 4 hrs. Especially if the hill climb loop is added in.
But, I defer to HTM's experience here.

There was something like 8 of us last time. I think we did it in the same amount of time. Granted it took longer on the way back because we were tired and our bellies full after the buffalo burgers at the oracle inn. :D

It all depends on the riders. :nod

    Drew,

Your are welcome to stay with me or park your camper in my driveway and we would ride early Sunday at Chiva...if you have time or desire.

Thanks Allen, I would only be able to do a Sunday which is why I was hoping to run both and get in some good riding for the day.

I rode the last ride but for an "ST hill climb loop" I'd ride it again.
Are you meeting at the trailhead at Saddlebrooke/Catalina? Or do you have somewhere in Marana in mind?

I have an additional loop to this that will also give us a nice climb.

Thanks for the offer mate. I will take you up on it but it won't be for a while as I have to much stuff going on to get down there right now. I also need to do a little work on my Husaberg as I have a bad bearing in the triples. I will hit you up when I get a chance. I also want to do rug road again. Cheers

Drew, if you know anyone coming down Saturday that is close to you have them bring that tank and I will give them the money for you.

Drew, you know where I live. I could take it with me, but tomorrow, I am booked solid and won't have a chance to head to your place. If you are anywhere near my place and could drop it off, I could bring it down to HTM.

Don't worry about it if it is an effort. I will get it sometime in the near future.

With the right group and an early start, I bet you could do all three in a day. :evil
