Hey Dave, I've been waiting to see this post. I am hoping to be able to make it this year again. Funds are tight right now, I haven't worked since October due to layoffs. But I need to get away and have some fun. :clap I'll post it up on SSYSO forum and see how many Vstroms will we can get this year. Hope to use my bike this year although the KLR I used last year was a blast.

I'm already planning a Friday evening road ride (to a special place), and a self guided Saturday ride, along with a guided ride. Oh boy a new year and I hope many new faces. Last year was alot of fun. We had a great day of riding and yes this year, again I will be providing that taste of off road for those who need to dirty up their rig. Lookin forward to the gathering of inmates.

Yes I think 4 years makes it officially an event to be placed in the prestegious area known to the ADVrider group as the Annual Rally zone! Were big boys now. No I did not get a bike yet. I see there is a nice BMW in Alabama. Maybe, maybe..........

You better make it! I think I will be doing all less hardcore rides this year. Due to an extremely messed up shoulder.

It didn't get hardcore last year until the end and by that time the group dwindled down. We found some cool single track on broad mountain the Sunday after the ride. I was up there in the summer and saw they put a new gate on the access road up there. What's the story on the gate?

Don't get a BMW. They are best to be ridden on the road and don't play nice with rocks. This statement pressumes you are you are planning on getting a GS to replace your 950.

Eagle rock resorts were trying to buy a big chunk of land but the deal fell through. Sometimes the gates are open.

Due to the lack of people behaving correctly on the off road areas around here they are dwindling. People get pissed, throw up no trespassing signs, and walla. You're F*&d!!!

Awesome event. If anyone is on the fence, do it. I've been looking forward to it all year.

Dave, I should be able to make it again, but can't commit yet. Lots of stuff going on then and not sure I'll be able to make it out for a weekend. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Not sure with the whole economy thing if it'll be a big event this year or not. Last year was a nice size. Ended up with 58 riders. That was very nice. Hope to get to that and a few more this year. We shall see!

    uhh....xr.......maybe.

Yep, any of those bikes will do. Last year there was two separate rides. One off road, one on road. These two rides splintered into many more groups. You'll find what you need no matter what you ride. We even got to see some harley dude drop his bike.
