Found this 1981 CR 250 Left hand kick bike in pieces. I am starting to do a complete overall of the bike.

This is what the bike looked like when i got it.

This is what it looks like now. I am hoping to have it rolling on wheels by this weekend. Waiting on parts, and new tires.

Very Nice! I'm a fan of the early Hondas too- hope it was a great price! :D

Been a long week waiting for parts and powdercoating and polishing, but i almost have everything done.
Got my tires today, so i mounted them and they are looking great. I wanted to stay as close as orginal, but i wanted to spice up the tires a little bit.

So far this week, all i did was wait, but late today i started to put together the bike. This is what i have done so far.

Nice work! What did you do to the spokes to get the color?

That bike is looking sweet! Awesome work on bringing that poor CR back from the dead.

Here's a short clip I took of a '81 CR at the Honda Museum:

Reckon your bike could surpass this in beauty!

i posted the add that i found on ADV through craiglist. Really a nice guy. I texted him about what i wanted to do. Cost me around 50 bucks shipped to my door.
Pretty easy to put on. Took me around an hour to do both wheels.

My problem is that i am on a different continent, so phoning the guy is a bit expensive.
