Anyone have a recommendation for fixing a broken button? Bike is a 2002 Honda XR650L. The unit is fully functional but the button is broken. When I actuate the signal the sharp metal tab rips a layer on my glove. A friend has used a product called liquid plastic but I'm unsure if it'll work. I'm still on the search for a fix but thought I'd add a post for suggestions. Thanks.
If an older bike I would look for a used switch pod if in good condition swap it out, if not just swap out the broken bit.
I'd go down to the hardware store or parts store and pick up a tube of that Quick Steel. It is soft so you can form it and I would reform the end of the button the way I wanted it. You could even file some little groves in it like the original.
I saw on another thread where someone had the same problem. He found a key from an old computer keyboard that fit perfectly.
