Heidenau K60 tires

Does anyone know where to get these in Canada or the States?????

Have been doing lots of tire research and have read great things about these tires... also need to find out if the work tubeless.

since it's a new tire in big gs sizes than i'd say it's a good bet it'll be tubeless.
looks like there is some wait till they hit north america.

I have just been looking at some Heidenau tyres ta a local dealer tonite. They are avaliable in sizes for GS,s and other big Beasties and tubeless. The dealer will be getting some of the K60s to fit my R80GS, so am keen to try them. Price is very good

The K60 is an awesome tyre. If you are going to run them on a 650+ sized bike, go the 140/17, it is a different tyre to the 130/17??? They hang on really well, especially with 20-24psi in them and wear very well.

Let's keep an eye out on how to get our hands on the 150/70-17 and 90/90-21 K60 when they become available. I am extremely interesting in these tires. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whats the word on the life expectancy of these tires from those who use them already?
I would like a tire like this to put on for longer trips where the noise and life of my knobbies would be an issue.

Expectancy are apparently longer than a TKC, but I can't compare.

I went the 140's and 100's, around $100 less per tyre.

Here's a shot;

I used K60's on my Tiger last year (100 front, 140 rear)
After 12000km I sold my bike and rear had still some mm's left. Front was probably half worn.

Well that pretty good mileage considerig there was tread left and you are on a Tiger(would eat them faster than my 650 would).

Will be nice to finally have a choice that inbetween knobbies and the 90/10 tires!!

This looks to be the best the best tire for big beast I've seen. Been running TKC80 but short life and high dollar have me looking else were. bete.

k60 upfront & original tourance or anakee 2 rear might for a real nice high-mileage dirt-capable combo.

was there increased front fender clearance with that size?

has a similar tread design to mefo (also german) explorer.
for having very little dirt to ride on germany sure puts out some great off-road tires.

just saw that twisted throttle now carries mefo's (all though selling at a premium price) and there is a different pattern (super explorer) in the biggest 2 18" rear sizes only (no 17" in this pattern???, bummer. wonder why as 150-17" has way more fitments. maybe it's a tubeless issue)

Not yet. I have the Conti's on the F8.

I am hoping that the Heidenau is coming in a 150/17 for the F8 and will be here before I need to replace the TKC.

Thats a damn clever way to reduce tyre wear!! If the tyres are not on the ground, they cant wear out!! ha ha

by going the 100s FNT & 140s Rear you actually loose clearance between the fender and tyre, because those tyres are actually another 10mm taller than the stock.
