This is a Manzanita bush.
The peeling paperlike bark is one of it's many characteristics.....







These are the Manzanita berries.
During the summer months these are extremely sticky!!

I know because I used to put them in my sisters hair when we were little..........
Cured by her putting gum in mine....

Yep. I bought it about an hour before I left when I went to find/buy a battery for my big nikon......They didn't have it in stock so I got a little cannon power shot for about $150. (that doesn't run on batteries from 'toys' )

Turned out to be a good little camera!!
Even dropped it several times!
