Strawbridge and Clothier was founded by Justus C. Strawbridge and Isaac H. Clothier on July 1, 1868. Strawbridge and Clothier became the last family-owned department store chain in the Philadelphia area. Jenkintown’s Strawbridge and Clothier opened in 1931 on Old York Road at the former site of Wyndhurst, which was the residence of John Milton Colton.

There was a court fight with Abington over Jenkintown’s annexation of the triangular piece of land the store was on. Strawbridge’s became a part of Jenkintown. In 1953 the store added a new parking deck that stretched to Rodman Avenue.
Strawbridges is no longer located in Jenkintown but The Outback Steakhouse restaurant is.

Doing well, thanks, but my head still isn't 100%. This was my fourth concussion and definitely the worst. Probably best that I don't have a bike at the moment.

I got Mike to set me up as a collaborator on his version of the map. Spent some time the last few days getting it up to date, so hopefully there'll be a few less retags going foward.

I appreciate the help charles. I've been driving hard on finishing my kawi so I never let myself work on the map. Having you add tags makes me want to add tags myself. I've been out me the loop but refresh me on what happened to ya?

Thanks for letting me help with the map. I was fun. Doing the Philly map, and the PA map, has really got me remembering some great rides and how much I miss that bike.

I look forward to seeing the Kawi when it's done. When did you pick up the TW?
