I have been in Laconia several times. But NEVER during "bike week". Not my thing. Okay with me if it's yours.

Hope you are having a great time in NH. Last time I was there was 1998 for the 75th Anniversary:

Been listening to them head back south since fairly early this morning, pretty much quiet now, just a few stragglers. I am far enough off the highway that most of the bikes are noticable but not unbearably loud, surprisingly (to me), it is the bike stereos that get my attention more often than not. By all accounts 240,000 came and spent their money, most got to go home afterward, always a few that will not be on two wheels again - 4 at last count for this year. Alcohol and bikes don't mix well, doesn't have to be the rider that was drinking either, with the crowd of bikes 'our' regular drunk drivers have a target rich environment.

It was a good trip if it was only for 2 days. It was well worth it.

A nice ride home 114 in New Hampshire is freshly paved.
This was a nice little road side resturant before they had a fire. Now that it has been redone its a bit up-puty. Still worth a stop Great buffet sunday breakfast.

I went one year, and that was enough. I went with a few riders from work. They went to the Broken spoke and drank. They then went to another bar, and drank. They weren't alone. Then I spent 2 hours in traffic listening to those loud pipes that save lives while I covered 4 miles. I would rather just go ride - thank you.

AndyCap- Sorry to hear you had a bad time.
We usally ride the Kank one day loop the lake or run to the coast for Lobster another day. This year I just made a cannon ball run to weirs. The rest of the guys I ride with rode the Kank and pigged out at the Yankee smoke house.

    Here are a few shots
I think this one may be a inmate here

Should be fun, all my pirate buds are heading down early, or so they say:D They should have the place all scoped out by the time I get there. I got to remember my Rocky Mountain Hare Scrambles t-shirt:freaky

Acording to the news we had 200,000 riders already here this weekend. It certainly sounded that way from my home near route 28 and from the time I spent yesterday at the Speedway. I wish that I could offer up a more inviting weather forecast although it has apparently improved to show only a couple of days of rain whereas before they were predicting a weeks worth. Enjoy your visit, Ride Safe!

I was thinking of making the trip up for this on Thursday and camping a couple of days, provided that I can still find a place last minute to set up a tent. This would be my first overnight bike trip, so I'm hoping I can make it work :D

    Thanks for the update FireEscape

As for as last minute camping. A friend of mine is staying at Yogi Bear in Ashland. try there I used to stay there until they got too crazy with the rates. Now that attendance is down rates are also. Then a little ways out in Campton is the KOA they have nice cabins for rainy nights.

Keep posting here I may be taking a ride to Rays seafood on Friday and Bentleys.

A lot of near identical cruisers in that first pic, is that how most of it is?
