Does anyone know if its possible to cross the Friendship Bridge between Nepal and Tibet on motorcycle? I would like to travel across Tibet in 2014, starting in Kathmandu. I crossed on foot in 2003, and at least back then, the Chinese were not allowing any motorized vehicles across.
You can't cross into China without being part of an organized tour ($$$). So even if Tibet specific rules are relaxed, you are still facing a very uphill battle because it's still China.
