I had a Verizon phone with me. I'm pretty old school with the phone, i.e. it's to call out on. I kept it off most of the time to prevent roaming discharging the battery.
I did use it and Verizon called my wife to see if it had been stolen. They told her the charges were much higher to use the phone in Ca. She let me know and I made no more calls. If you live and breathe by the phone , it will be a problem. as for me , no phone, no problem.
