but yeah Mike and AJ, i'm down for some racing. probably wait til fall and i'll do the Castaic Rowher race
Dangler, hit by a lawnmower, supermotard'd under a blazer...I love reading this thread I'm interested to hear how the MRI comes out.
im getting another CT scan on monday but they told me i fractured something. I forget which bone. he said it was very common in bicycle accident because the first thing to hit the ground is the shoulder. He also said it very common in motorcycle accident but there are usually so many other problems, they never even notice. So then he asked me about the pain level and I told him "oh its not bad, I rode my BMW to work today" the reaction was classic, "you WHAT?"
Nice reaction - heal up soon. I'm still hobbling around on my bum foot. Not even thinking (ok - an occasional thought because I forget) about riding the bike yet.
yeah my wife got mad it me for riding.,... not the collarbone - something in the shoulder. I forget which bone. This sucks because I have always wanted to do a supermotard class and the one I was going to do for my Bday is out! anyways, CT scan of shoulder tomorrow, two doc appointments on tuesday
Here we go. Remember this is all IMHO, I have background in the stuff but nothing worth any merit. The OP wanted to know why I never wore the clavicle protectors that came with the Koerta.
i will never ride off road ever again without body armor. With what happened to me just escaping with a small fracture, can you imagine what would have happened had i not been wearing anything?? I might still be in the hospital. oh and yes im getting a neck brace. Im going to looks like a transformer in my next race.
Fractured Scapula. Doc said 6 - 12 weeks before back to 100%. He also is referring me to a specialist just to be safe. At this time he is not recommending surgery, but he wants another opinion. Good news so far!
ohhh mike. he's also just informed me that he got the same injury that I did, while playing volleyball. THEMS some tough volleyball game....
